Cadre Apartments
Description:
The Cadre Apartments project is a 7-story apartment building in Salt Lake City. The building will offer cutting-edge modern design, open floor plans, and generous daylight. Designed by award-winning firm Axis Architects, all units provide an unrivaled combination of form and function. This new community is located in one of Salt Lake City’s forward-looking Transit Station Area zones and anchors one of the city’s next great eclectic precincts, directly west of downtown. The neighborhood is adding restaurants, housing and amenities. Additional, varied housing opportunities are in the works. The Cadre Apartments is Phase Two of a project that responds to a burgeoning demand for affordable housing close to downtown, with direct access to quality restaurants, theaters and night life.
Phase One: The eastern part of the site, in proximity to smaller dwellings is respecting the scale of existing buildings by keeping the building forms to 3 stories high. These townhomes are 3 levels and include a one-car garage.
Phase Two: The “front” of the project facing 900 West is taller in nature and will reinforce the urban fabric and alignment of buildings being created. The apartment units exemplify modern design and place-making for the future. Ranging from 400 square foot studios to 920 square foot two-bedrooms, these units provide attractive dwelling spaces. The building will be seven stories tall with a lobby, Gym at the ground floor. The 3rd level includes amenities such as the club room, which opens to a large amenity deck, housing BBQ areas, lounging, fire pits, eating and gathering spaces as well as a water feature. On the top floor, the massing of the building is cut out to receive a roof-top gathering space and a second clubhouse, complete with a demonstration kitchen.
