Flanagan Condo

Description:

The historic Wright Building located at 364 Capitol Park Avenue, in the Avenues Neighborhood of Salt Lake City was converted into five residential units, each with private garages and exclusive elevator access to each residence.

The Flanagan’s purchased the penthouse, two-story, 8500 SF unit and worked closely with the Axis Architects team, along with AMB Interiors to create a luxury urban residence for the family moving into Salt Lake City from Chicago. The design incorporated the family’s unique art collection, by creating curated locations for each distinct piece. The home feels cozy and comfortable for the small family, while at the same time feels open and welcoming for large gatherings.

The Main Level boasts a formal living room, flanked by two wood-burning fireplaces, an open kitchen with butler pantry, formal dining area, sitting area and two luxurious outdoor terraces for expansive views to the South and West overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. An art gallery corridor leads to a private steel and glass enclosed office and is terminated by two separate en-suite bedrooms, one as a Primary and the other for their high-school aged daughter, each with spacious custom-designed closets and five-fixture bathrooms.

An open stair with highly detailed brass handrail winds to the upper loft area which includes an expansive home fitness center with cardio room, free-weights area, yoga studio and private sauna. A game room, with an entertainment kitchen tucks neatly into the exposed steel frame that supports the historic building’s roof with an array of dormer style windows that feature custom millwork and furnishings tailored to embrace views overlooking the city.
