Jim Nielson FAIA,

Jim has experience with most project types and sizes. His efforts have ranged from very small remodels to new construction thousands of times that size. He has worked on Utah’s major higher education campuses and completed at Hill Air Force Base and in Wyoming, North Dakota, and Arizona. He was full-time field architect for the LDS conference center.

Jim previously served on the Utah Architect Licensing Board and is currently a Board Member for Envision Utah. He served two terms in the Utah House of Representatives, working to reduce the red tape for schools, create incentives for clean air, and improve public procurement.

In recognition of his service to the profession and the community, in 2015 Jim was elevated to the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows, a distinction held by only about 3% of architects nationwide.
