Pierre O. Langue AIA LEED AP

Alan Turner AAIA

Pierre Langue, an award-winning architect, graduated with a Masters of Architecture from the Ecole National Superieure d Architecture de Lille, France. (formerly known as the Ecole des Beaux Arts). Pierre worked in France and in the US for nationally recognized firms as an architect and principal designer before forming Axis Architects in 2005. With 23 years of domestic and international practice, Pierre brings expertise and an informed perspective to local issues, fulfilling the unique functional, aesthetic, and social goals of each project. Pierre Langue is the tireless force driving the design and innovation of the firm. His creative energy and signature are present on every project by Axis Architects.

Alan Turner, a partner at Axis Architects, specializes in the design and planning of industrial facilities. His initial training and experience in industrial engineering has informed Alan's successful career in architecture. Alan understands the manufacturing process as a whole as well as in the most specific details. Alan Turner has effectively designed manufacturing facilities for medical device and pharmaceutical companies as well as food processing plants, product distribution, and the aerospace industry. Alan has designed over 3 million square feet of industrial buildings in the US. From raw material distribution to finish product flow, Alan brings an educated eye to the design of each project.

Philosophy

The philosophy of Axis Architects begins with an insistence on design excellence, principal commitment, superior management and outstanding services to our clients, meeting all the budget and schedule objectives for our projects.

Design emerges from an intensive dialogue with the client, the site, and the program. The balance between these forces is the primary goal of our design process. We strive to create structures that are intimately connected to function and context, and that achieve a degree of craft and detail that elevates them to the highest level of both beauty and practicality.

We firmly believe that the architectural response to our clients aspirations is the true measure of the success of our work.

10-11 Pierre Langue is awarded Young Architect of the year by the American Institute of Architects Utah chapter.

11-10 Pierre Langue, AIA of Axis Architects wins 2 AIA awards for the UVU Noorda Theater and the H House.

10-10 Pierre Langue is elected as director of AIA Utah.

08-10 Alan Turner of Axis Architects is selected to design the next Boeing manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City.

09-09 Axis Architects moves into their new LEED Gold Offices. Axis architects, an architects office in Utah with a strong focus on design has completed over 20 projects for Universities and works in several states and Europe.

07-09 Axis Architects completes the construction of the new Black Box Theater at the Utah Valley University.

02-08 Axis Architects, a design oriented architectural firm in Utah starts the design the new Utah State University Business Building.

09-07 Pierre Langue of Axis Architects

receives the AIA Honor award 2007 Western Mountain Region for the Salt Flats Viewing Pavilion.

10-06 Axis Architects receives the AIA Honor award 2006 - Utah Chapter for the Salt Flats Viewing Pavilion.
